Ferrari is one of the few carmakers in the world that decides who gets to buy its cars, not the other way around. Even wealth and fame are not guarantees. The Italian brand is known for enforcing some of the strictest buyer rules in the automotive industry, and celebrities are not exempt.
Over the years, high-profile figures such as Justin Bieber, 50 Cent and Kim Kardashian have publicly said they lost access to purchasing new Ferraris after reselling cars too quickly or heavily modifying them. Ferrari discourages rapid resale, unauthorized customization, and behavior it believes harms the brand’s image, especially for limited or high-demand models.
While Ferrari does not publish an official “blacklist,” the company has confirmed that it reserves the right to refuse future sales to buyers who violate its expectations. The policy is designed to protect exclusivity, preserve resale value, and prioritize long-term collectors rather than short-term owners.
