Edit: The city comes through w**d whacking the w**ds in the street in front of my business. Keep in mind they have never even plowed where these parking spots are. They hit a rock and it flies into my window causing the damage seen in the picture. The city employees look at it then go around the corner. I have no idea weather they intended to even tell us they had done it. My office manager comes out and confronts them. Then calls the police to make a report. I call city hall and Tom Dermody says it will be taken care of. Someone else calls from city hall and says I need to fix said window and pay for it and turn in a claim. The insurance company will then pay what they feel is appropriate. Now I can easily afford the $1200ish to fix this, but a lot of businesses in laporte can’t. And to be honest no money should come out of pocket of the business owner for this. That is the entire story. I will be calling the mayor back tomorrow. This is not ok. I even have it on camera.
