Unfortunately, too many businesses allow their storage space to be overrun by surpluses of old electronic and computer equipment for lack of a better way to deal with it. Let’s talk about how we can help your business safely and responsibly get rid of all those electronics gathering dust in your storeroom.

Studies reveal that the typical American home has at least 24 electronic products. Multiply that millions of times over, and you begin to sense the magnitude of toxic e-waste. Make sure that you recycle and be part of the solution.

While electronics make up only a small percentage of the world's total waste, they are in fact the most hazardous. This is why using an electronics recycling service is so important and why there is now national and international legislation aimed at making electronic recycling the only acceptable form of electronic disposal.

Chances are when you think of recycling a cell phone, you think of the computer chip innards. The truth is, every part of the phone, including the plastic, is recycled. That plastic is often reused in lawn furniture, license plate frames, and is sometimes even converted into fuel.

Much of the electronic waste thrown out each year contains both hazardous and non hazardous materials. In order to recycle this type of waste, care must be taken to protect workers and prevent hazardous chemicals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, and toxic fire-retardants from being released into the environment.

Many consumers and businesses are not interested in spending money to haul a few items to a processing center and then paying a hazardous materials disposal fee to drop them off. Instead, they throw items out with the trash and they end up in a landfill. This is unfortunate because rainwater can leach heavy metals and other toxins out of old electronics the same way it does with waste ore from mining operations. This leads to groundwater and soil contamination. Trashing old equipment also causes new materials to be used in new electronics when recycled material could be used, saving money and using less energy.

We are able to take in material without charging a processing fee because we sort items in a way that allows the money we bring in from selling non-hazardous materials like aluminum, steel, and plastics to cover the costs of recycling hazardous materials such as lead and other heavy metals

Additionally, whenever possible we donate useable hardware to organizations that that will put it to use for the good of the community.

We are in the business of recycling used, obsolete, and broken computers, peripherals and other electronics.

Our goal is to remove potential hazardous waste from trash that would otherwise end up in a landfill.

We disassemble, sort, and process everything else to recyclers that can break it down and re-use it in new hardware. Nothing we take in will end up in a landfill.

At no cost to the taxpayers of Laporte County.
Or surrounding counties.
