Today, we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, resilience, and the enduring pursuit of equality.

Observed each year on June 19, Juneteenth marks the day in 1865 when news of emancipation reached enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued.

As we celebrate Freedom Day, we reflect on the sacrifices, perseverance, and contributions of those who helped shape our nation's history. May we continue to learn from the past while working toward a future built on understanding, opportunity, and unity.
