With wisdom of course, but overall a good read!🩷
Do Not Reduce Me to Ministry Only.
I am called, yes. I am anointed, yes. But I am also human. I laugh. I rest. I enjoy life. I have hobbies, friendships, quiet moments, and joy that exist outside of ministry.
I do not walk in ministry twenty-four seven. I am not scanning rooms for demons or psychoanalyzing people everywhere I go. There are times when I intentionally turn it off and simply live. And when God interrupts that space, I yield. That comes with the calling. But balance is not disobedience. Balance is wisdom.
If you are in ministry, be sure to remain balanced. You cannot be so heavenly minded that you are no earthly good. Your life cannot be ministry every moment of every day. Burnout is not holiness.
I refuse to allow people to reduce me to a function, a gift, or a service. I am not here to be “on” for consumption. I am a woman who enjoys refurbishing furniture, long drives, beautiful homes, decorating, laughter with friends, traveling, and quiet moments that have nothing to do with deliverance or teaching.
When I post pieces of my real life and engagement drops, that tells me something. Some people only want the power, not the person. That is not a contract I agreed to.
I will always remind you that I am human. I feel. I laugh. I rest. I live. I do not allow people to demand access to me twenty-four seven. That is a boundary I will protect without apology.
There are moments when I tell my friends, do not talk to me about deliverance. Do not talk to me about ministry. We are just being human right now. That is not disrespectful to God. God lives in me. I cannot turn Him off. But I can honor the vessel He lives in.
Being balanced does not make me carnal. It does not make me less anointed. It makes me whole. Turn on the right music and I will DANCE! 💃🏽
