The house of the saucier is the sauce and soup consultant of home chefs in the U.S. We provide various sauce- and soup-making techniques and offer personal saucier consulting service to people who love to cook at home. Meet Your Personal Saucier Consultant, owner and operator Executive Chef Ron Torres, MBA, BSHS, AOS. Cooking has been my major passion for over 25 years. I’ve worked in some of the finest gourmet restaurants in the United States and abroad. My first degree was Associate in Occupational Studies, Culinary Arts which after practicing in the field, only enhanced my curiosities.
Soon the hunger for knowledge in the culinary field expanded into the business side of the front of the house and business kitchens operations. During my spare time, I went back to college and acquired an MBA business degree. Instead of pursuing a business degree for my undergraduate, I choose to take Human Service Management. My reasoning from a worker and manager position was to better understand and cope with the large diverse population that works in all aspects of the food and beverage service industry.
What hooked me on sauces was the 5 years I worked as a saucier in this gourmet restaurant, making 18 sauces a day along with 3 soup dishes. The soups had to be in three categories: seafood, consume, and meat and vegetables. I went through hundreds of American and international cookbooks until I was able to create my own versions of sauces and soups. Catering and being a personal home chef were good experiences. Clients were impressed with the different variety of sauces we created for these events and always wanted us to leave the recipes.
There are a group of people who like home chefs; however, there are many people who enjoy cooking for themselves, their guest, and their loved ones. All they need is a professional source to confer with. I created this online personal saucier consulting service to enhance the skills of the home chef in the fine art of sauce and soup making and menu planning through online discovery and complete instructions.
