I wanted to share a little update here on the FanGeek page, now that I’ve had a chance to tell some clients, friends and colleagues personally.

After 16 years, I’ve decided it’s time to wind FanGeek down and step away from the day-to-day side of convention appearance representation.

I started FanGeek in 2010, and over the years I’ve had the chance to work with an incredible group of actors, promoters, convention staff and fans. I’m enormously grateful for all of it.

I’m especially grateful to the clients who trusted me to represent them over the years — whether we worked together on one show, dozens of shows or simply stayed in touch waiting for the right opportunity. I’ve been incredibly lucky to work with so many talented people, and I appreciate the trust, friendship and very weird adventures that came with it.

The good news is that many longtime FanGeek clients will continue working with people they already know well.

Sandy has launched Signature Appearances, where she’ll be continuing with many of the clients she has worked closely with through FanGeek. You can find Signature at http://SignatureAppearances.com and on Facebook and Instagram under the company name.

Sarah Allison has launched Luminary Talent Group and will also be continuing with a number of longtime FanGeek clients. I’ll share more from Luminary as that transition continues.

I’ll still be around behind the scenes to offer advice when useful, and I may occasionally turn up at a con as a handler. I’m very happily handing over the day-to-day work, however.

FanGeek.com will remain online as a directory and archive while the transition continues, with links directing visitors to the appropriate agencies as those handoffs are finalized.

Thank you to everyone who has been part of FanGeek over the past 16 years. It’s been one hell of a ride. ❤️
