Acceptance gets a bad rap.
We think accepting something means we’re saying it was okay. That we approve of what happened. That we’re giving up, giving in, or letting someone off the hook.
Nope.
Acceptance is simply the moment you stop fighting with what already IS.
You stop pouring your energy into wishing it had happened differently, wishing someone had chosen differently, or wishing you could somehow rewrite the past.
And suddenly, all that energy becomes available for YOU again.
Acceptance doesn’t take away your power. It gives it back.
Because once you stop asking, “Why did this happen?” you finally have the freedom to ask the much more powerful question…
“Okay. Now what?”
That’s where healing starts. That’s where choices return. And sometimes, that’s exactly where the next version of you begins.
