One of the greatest acts of self-love is learning to stop carrying what was never yours to begin with.

As empaths, we often absorb other people's emotions, expectations, problems, and energy without even realizing it. Over time, this can leave us exhausted, overwhelmed, and disconnected from ourselves.

Protecting your peace isn't selfish.
Setting boundaries isn't unkind.
Choosing yourself isn't wrong.

You are allowed to release what no longer serves you, honor your own needs, and create space for healing, growth, and joy.

First rule about pre-shadow Merc in Retro - there is no pre-shadow Merc in Retro....DAMN, DON'T I WISH!!!!

We are currently in the pre-shadow phase of Mercury Retrograde (full retro starts on June 29th). This phase lays the groundwork for the actual timing of full retrograde and gives a sneak peak of what's coming our way.

Of course there are the obvious communication strains, technology issues, legal contract errors, texts from your Ex, etc. In this particular retrograde, which stations in the VERY emotional sign of Cancer, expect emotional triggers to come up regarding: family, home, relationships, and unresolved issues from the past.

Empaths tend to FEEL the strong vibes of retrogrades and with this one connected to the sign on Cancer, pay very close attention to things that come forward for you during this pre-shadow period. Deep diving into core issues of triggers can be your saving grace and help you breeze through Merc in Retro.

Many intuitives view the pre-shadow as a period of:

Preparation
Awareness
Revealed blind spots
Unfinished business coming into view
Opportunities to slow down and reassess

Empaths often carry far more than they realize.

Not because they're weak.

Because they care.

They care about other people's feelings, struggles, healing, happiness, and pain. Over time, many begin carrying responsibilities that were never theirs to hold.

This is your reminder:

You are allowed to have boundaries.

You are allowed to rest.

You are allowed to put down what doesn't belong to you.

Compassion does not require self-sacrifice.

The healthiest empaths aren't the ones carrying the most.

They're the ones who have learned the difference between supporting others and losing themselves.

Dear One,

Many around you are feeling the same. Know that you are not alone. You are never alone. Much is changing in your life and indeed within your world. You are in a state of transition now where it feels as if there is no safe place to land, no grounded area to rest your feet. These energies and situations are changing because they no longer serve you. They are no longer a part of your vibration. You are shedding your energetic skin much like an animal sheds their fur when going into a new cycle of life. Know that this overwhelm will not be long standing. Things will balance out soon.

I know you want something to hold onto, a guide, a beacon to tell you that there is light at the end of the tunnel and that you will be okay. Allow me to reassure you, Dear One. You are stronger than you know. Your heart has endured the things that have come to pass because YOU ARE THE LIGHT. Your spirit is strong, though you think it not. Look into your memory, Dear One, and recall the lives you have touched, the differences you have made. You are here for a great purpose - to see and feel yourself as the light from home that you are, to feel the love that is you. I know this is not an easy task. That is why it was not given to one who could not succeed.

Look for the goodness within your life every day. Instead of seeing what is wrong, look for what is right - no matter how small in detail. Build on that, and soon you will see the numerous blessings around you. As you see and feel them, more will come into your path.

Stand strong, Dear One. You are surrounded by those who love you on both sides of the veil. Reach out to this support system and allow us to assist you. All you need to do is ask.

And remember always, as you ask for guidance and light, know in your heart that YOU are this light to so many around you. I speak the truth for I see you as you are.
