This is my favorite shot I’ve gotten of our little girl. It’s not easy to capture your own newborn when you’re still recovering. I’m so thankful for the energy I’ve had to record these precious moments.

Ty and I have been traveling in Virginia the last couple of days. Our friends have taken us to Liberty University, Williamsburg, and the Virginia Holocaust Museum. Yesterday, we got to visit the Hamner House (The Waltons’ house) on Waltons’ Mountain in Schuyler, Virginia. We both love The Waltons TV show, so when we realized we were just a few miles away on our way back to Richmond, we took the scenic, winding roads back to the old house.

Last week I had the opportunity to take Allyson's senior pictures. I have known her since she was a little girl, and she is one of the most photogenic seniors I've ever photographed! Our friendship and her knack for posing made her session a great time. Congrats, Allyson!

I got back yesterday from a trip called ORIGINS with The Friends of Israel Gospel Ministry, Inc. I served on a team with 20 young adults and FOI staff in Kaplan Medical Center for 10 days. In addition to our volunteer work, we also were able to tour Jerusalem, Nazareth, Tel Aviv, and a couple other places. It was truly incredible to walk some of the places we can know for sure God [Jeshua] walked while He was on earth! I enjoyed being immersed in Jewish culture, learning some basic Hebrew phrases, eating Mediterranean cuisine, and most importantly, gaining a deeper understanding of and love for the Jewish people.
