Ending the week with a big THANK YOU to so many of my friends. The NVPR Community Event was a huge success because of the hard work of Susan Henry, Crystal Jepson of NVPR, David Mozes of the Bronze Café, and of course, my fabulous panel of experts: Lori Wilinson of Brown and Brown Insurance, Rose Peterson of PR Fitness, and Dr. Eboni January.
Each Community One event strives to fulfill the NVPR goal to inform, educate, and inspire our growing audience. On Wednesday night, both our CEO Favian Perez, and our engaged and eager audience showed us all what it looks like when a mission comes to life.
As we head into this Mother’s Day weekend, I am thinking of my Mom, the wonderful Mom my daughter Dana is, our daughters-in-law, and all the new Moms in our family this year alone. I will be together with some very special people this weekend. Think that is where I got the strength to give it an extra push as I ended my workout week. And yes, I am proud of myself!

This week did not disappoint. From beautiful baby showers to beautiful cloths, with a groundbreaking and fabulous showcase of Nevada photos in the mix, it all added up to a very good week.

Just to make it complete, I am back in the theater seeing Devil again in 48 hours!

Fool me once (Helene), fool me twice (winter storm warnings)….However, I seem to be able to make storms in Asheville work! I have made a mental note to maybe (just maybe) heed the warnings if there is a next time, and not get on the plane! Then again, I would not have missed all the fun and love for anything. . Special shout out to Uber driver, Kim, who took the trip to get me to Greenville airport. It was an adventure, and she did a fabulous job driving on ice and snow!

What do you do when your Table For 8 becomes a table for 11? You call early in the day and modify the reservation!

What happens when the AI Agent blows it and never delivers the message to the restaurant? One of the founding owners introduces himself and begins to formulate a solution.

The fact that the solution was hosting us in the elegant and private dining room ends up to be the best AI screw up yet! Or maybe it was because Olivier was in an over-the-moon frame of mind having just found out that day that Tamba was nominated for a James Beard Award in the Best New Restaurant category. No matter the reason, the response, the setting, and of course the food, were and are incredible.

I generally classify myself as a “white girl eater” - no spice please — kinda girl. It’s a testament to Tamba’s menu that I can eat fabulous tasting and elegantly presented food in a number of the sections.

is a one-year-old Indian restaurant I first read about in when it was opening.

The first week of 2026 is one for the books. One part I want to read and remember, may parts I could burn. And so it goes.

Since 2020, after the sudden passing of son Scott Goeglein, I have created Christmas trees with only photos of my loved ones. Each year I add a few more. No better way to make sure I don’t forget what’s important.

One of the fun things from this December—and there were many—was having a palm tree I have had for 12 years suddenly bloom—on our 46th wedding anniversary.

On this last sunrise of 2025, May you know the peace Arrow and Ivy shared.
