It felt good to hop back in the RV-8 after a few months of F-35 training and flying.

As incredible as the F-35 is, there’s something magical about general aviation. The freedom to decide when you want to fly, where you want to go, and to simply enjoy the journey is hard to beat.

No timeline. Just a great airplane, an open sky, and some absolutely epic views along the way.

Sometimes the best flights are the ones with no destination in mind.

Life has a funny way of coming full circle.

Never thought I’d go from flying the F-15C to the F-22, and now the F-35. Every one of those jets has been an incredible privilege, but the real privilege has always been wearing the flag on my shoulder and serving a country that has given my family so much. I don’t take that for granted.

One of the best parts of this transition? My first F-35 sortie was with Bull.

Back when I was flying the F-22 Demo, Bull was flying the Viper Demo. We spent years crisscrossing the country and somehow ended up in the F-35 together four years later. Neither of us would’ve predicted that.

Most importantly, thank you to my wife, Lisa. Training means long days, studying, travel, and plenty of missed time at home. She shoulders far more than anyone sees, and I couldn’t do any of this without her. Every new opportunity in my career is possible because of the sacrifices she makes for our family.

Here’s to the next chapter.

Really Flies a P-51 Mustang ✈️

Most people know Tom Cruise from Top Gun—but what many don’t realize is he actually owns and flies a legendary P-51 Mustang, one of the most iconic fighter planes of World War II.

During Super Bowl LVI in Los Angeles, , the F-22 Demonstration Team pilot and commander, helped bring together one of the most impressive military flyovers in recent history. The formation featured the F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II, F-16 Fighting Falcon, A-10 Thunderbolt II, and the legendary P-51 Mustang.

He explains why the P-51 was considered the premier air-to-air fighter of WWII and reveals that Tom Cruise is a highly skilled and accomplished pilot in real life.

Even more impressive?

The formation was led by legendary warbird pilot Steve Hinton, with the F-22, F-35, F-16, A-10, and the iconic P-51 flying together over one of the biggest sporting events in the world.

Exciting changes ahead, and I’m feeling incredibly grateful.
From the moment many of my family came to this country chasing a better life and real opportunity, America has never let us down. I’m deeply thankful for every door it’s opened.
Serving our nation in the military has been one of the greatest honors of my life. And now, a new chapter has begun.
Lately I’ve been talking with so many people about the different ways to serve — most folks don’t realize there are multiple paths: Active Duty, Air National Guard, and Air Force Reserves. I just started a fresh chapter with the Air Force Reserves, and I couldn’t be more excited to continue serving.
The military has shaped every part of who I am — discipline, purpose, leadership, and perspective. Sharing those experiences and helping others see what’s possible has been incredibly rewarding.

There must be some other non-ni****ne alternative at AAFES…oh wait, there aren’t. We tried to deliver .energy pouches with brain healthy ingredients to our Army and Air Force members across those globe. We will get there eventually because our service members deserve better performance without the downsides of ni****ne. The outreach of high performers to include our service members seeking healthier options has been incredibly encouraging. We are ready to help on that front🇺🇸 Talk soon, AAFES - in the meantime, we’ll see how the NEX responds!
