It took Apple more than six and a half years to develop the first Newton MessagePad. When it was finally released it had impressive specifications. 20 MHz processor, pressure-sensitive LCD-display, LocalTalk port, infra-red beamer. The Newton developed a fiercely loyal following who used their MessagePad for over a decade!

Want to own Newton, its peripherals and much more? Call to see the entire MacSEUM collection and adopting it.

It's a computer, a television, a CD player ....
The Macintosh TV debuted in October of 1993 with a maximum of 8M of RAM! With a subtle, matte black exterior, nothing like it had ever been seen on the electronics market before! Apple was once again setting new standards in computer innovations.

Did you own one?
Message MacTEK if you want to own a vintage Macintosh TV and the entire MacSEUM Collection.

Malware/Adware infections seem to be on the rise. Watch for unwanted pages and popups on your Mac, but do not let them tempt you to click the "OK" button. Even software ads like MacKeeper appear to be genuine in letting you know their software is there to help, but even the way these companies detect that you are using a Mac, and push notifications to you with threatening tactics is unethical and unsavory. Don't let them convince you to engage in their marketing schemes!

The best approach is to click a cancel, or "no thanks" button. If this option is not present, you best choice is to close the window or quit the application. You can quit or force quit an application from the application icon on the dock to escape the pushy adware pages.

Do not call the 800 phone numbers they offer or allow the company to remotely control your computer. These companies have even been known to identify themselves as "Apple Support". They are not affiliated with Apple. Pop up ads in never a way that Apple promotes their support.

If a malware/adware advertiser has affected your computer, call MacTEK to set an appointment. These "infections" can be easily remediated and there is no need to send your computer away for repair.

Last note, this type of concern is another good reason for every user to keep a Time Machine Backup of your computer. You can easily restore your computer account to before the infection.
