Imagine Paying 18% on Your Mortgage!

Everyone talks about how much cheaper homes used to be…But there’s another side to that story. 👀

In the 1980s, mortgage rates reached levels that would sound almost unbelievable to many homebuyers today.

So when we compare generations, looking at the price of the house alone doesn’t tell the whole story.
Lower home prices. Much higher interest rates.

🚨 90% → 50%. What happened?

If you were born in the 1940s, you had a 90% chance of earning more than the previous generation.

For those born in the 1980s? That dropped to 50%.

So… did Baby Boomers really have it easier? 👀

Housing was cheaper—but mortgage rates were dramatically higher. Pensions were more common—but every generation faced a different financial reality.

Maybe the real question isn’t who had it easier.

It’s what can we learn from them?

Are you a business owner? If so, consider creating a business transition strategy.

Business owners often put off this task simply because of the amount of focus, action, time, and money involved.

However, a business's succession strategy—or lack of one- impacts many people. Business transitions affect personal wealth, families, employees, vendors, customers, charities, and communities.

How can you prepare to transition out of your business? Here are a few tips:
◾ Find a holistic approach that works for you and your business.
◾ Address your personal, business, and financial goals.
◾ Give yourself enough time to strategically and thoughtfully make decisions.
◾ Small business owners especially don't often consider the option of selling their business. Having a strategy for selling in your back pocket may reduce some stress involved.

Transitioning a business is a high-stakes endeavor, and for many, a once-in-a-lifetime process that requires significant focus, action, time, and money to do properly.

What does a six-figure salary really mean today? 🤔

For decades, earning six figures was associated with comfortable living, vacations, and more financial breathing room.

But things have changed. $100K — or even $200K — can look very different depending on where you live, your expenses, and the lifestyle you're supporting.

👀 Wondering how your income fits into your bigger financial picture? Let’s have a conversation. Schedule a time with me through the link in my bio. 🔗

$100K? $200K? What Does “Middle Class” Even Mean Anymore?

It's a question I've been hearing more and more.

The answer isn't as simple as picking an income number.

A $100,000 salary can provide very different lifestyles depending on where you live, the size of your household, your debt, and how much your spending increases as your income grows.

That's where lifestyle inflation can become a problem. You earn more, but the house gets bigger, the car gets nicer, dinners get more expensive—and somehow there still isn't much left at the end of the month.

So maybe we're asking the wrong question.

Instead of only asking “Am I middle class?”, we should also ask:

What is my income actually doing for me?

Is it helping you save, invest, reduce debt and build financial security—or are you still living paycheck to paycheck?

I'd love to hear your perspective:

Is $100K still a high income today? And does $200K provide a comfortable lifestyle for a family of four where you live?
