Opening the Vault' quarantine project - We randomly selected Las Vegas creatives from our photo archives to ask them,
Q: How have the last couple of months impacted your life, what has changed for you?
A: I've been lucky. I'm in good health and had a little bit of a safety net, so this time has mostly been a call for me to move deeper into the work and life I was born for. Like a lot of people, I had a job that paid the bills (mixing sound for shows on the Strip), and was working on growing a business around sound healing and writing and recording music. So when my job disappeared overnight, I knew exactly what I should be doing with my time, but had no idea how to take it to the next level. It's been a game of trial and error, but I'm starting to find my way.
Work and career aside, I think the most impactful part of this year has been the deep self-reflection I have had to do in every area of my life. I've had to take a hard look at everything from my spiritual and physical practices, to how I interact with my friends and acquaintances, and re-evaluate how I show up in the world as a friend and ally, as well as professionally. I've finally slowed down the frenetic pace of my life to allow for more time to be creative and to connect with friends and family. Energetically, this is a huge shift for our world and American society, and I am simultaneously inspired and heartbroken at how far we have come, and how far we still have to go, so that every being on our planet has the opportunity to contribute their brilliance and creativity to the collective good.
But I remain hopeful. I see my community lifting one another up. I continue to have hard and imperfect conversations, both with myself (my ego) and with the people around me, in service of our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual evolution. I continue my mission to channel the universal vibration of love in everything I do, and, as best I can, to help others recognize that light and power in themselves.
Thank you for reading, and supporting the LV creative culture. We hope you enjoy these moments.
