πŸ“šπŸŽ’ Back-to-school shopping doesn't have to mean overspending.

With a little planning, you can stretch your budget without sacrificing everything on your child's school supply list.

Here are five simple ways to save:
βœ”οΈ Take inventory before you shop.
βœ”οΈ Reuse supplies that still have life left.
βœ”οΈ Compare prices across retailers.
βœ”οΈ Buy in bulk when it makes financial sense.
βœ”οΈ Stick to the school supply list to avoid unnecessary purchases.

Remember, saving money isn't always about making one big change. Small, intentional decisions throughout your shopping trip can have a meaningful impact on your budget.

🩷On Women's Equality Day, we recognize that many women still face unique financial challenges, from career breaks for caregiving to longer retirement horizons and persistent pay gaps.

The good news? A thoughtful financial plan can help turn those challenges into opportunities.

βœ”οΈ Advocate for your earning potential.
βœ”οΈ Start investing early and stay consistent.
βœ”οΈ Plan for a longer retirement.
βœ”οΈ Protect your income and the people who depend on you.
βœ”οΈ Take an active role in estate and legacy planning.

Financial confidence starts with education, preparation, and a plan that's built around your goals, not someone else's.

Because every woman deserves the opportunity to build, grow, and protect her financial future.

🐎 What makes a great Thoroughbred?

At Thoroughbred, we're looking for people who are ready to grow, lead, and make an impact. The strongest candidates share a few key traits:

Drive & Hunger – They bring energy, initiative, and the determination to keep improving.

Coachability – They embrace feedback, stay curious, and understand that growth comes from learning.

Consistency Under Pressure – They show up with the same commitment on the challenging days as they do on the easy ones.

Culture – They believe in serving others, supporting their teammates, and contributing to something bigger than themselves.

This summer, we've had the opportunity to meet so many talented individuals at recruiting events, trainings, and networking opportunities. The momentum has been incredible, and we're excited about what's ahead.

If these qualities sound like you, there may be a place for you on our team.

πŸ‡ Few reach the Triple Crown. Great financial plans aren't built on one victory either.

🏁 The Kentucky Derby: Protect
A strong financial future starts with a solid foundation. Build a budget, manage your cash flow, and create a plan that puts you in the best position to succeed.

🏁 The Preakness: Grow
Wealth isn't built overnight. Consistent investing, patience, and staying committed to your long-term goals can help your money grow over time.

🏁 The Belmont: Preserve
The finish line isn't just about what you've built, it's about what you leave behind. Estate planning, life insurance, and wealth transfer strategies can help protect the people and causes that matter most.

The strongest financial plans don't focus on just one stageβ€”they prepare for every one.

Which pillar are you focused on right now: Protect, Grow, or Preserve? Let us know in the comments. πŸ‘‡

πŸ’‘ Financial awareness starts with knowing where you stand.

According to recent data, 29% of Americans have more credit card debt than emergency savings.

If that statistic feels familiar, you're not alone, and it doesn't define your future.

National Financial Awareness Day is a reminder that progress begins with understanding your current financial picture. Whether you're focused on paying down debt, building an emergency fund, or creating a plan for the future, every positive step counts.

Words can influence action. Urgency creates momentum. Purpose gives that momentum direction and staying power.

That’s what Summer Stretch was about this year!πŸŽπŸš€

On Wednesday, our team came together in Saratoga for a full day of learning and perspective with Phil M Jones, Stephanie Rivas, and our own Conor Boyd. Each brought a different message, but together they centered around how we communicate, what moves us to act, and why having a clear purpose matters in the work we do.

Yesterday, we shifted from the training room to Saratoga Race Course for a day focused on connection, relationships, and enjoying time together as a team.

And that piece matters too.

We want Summer Stretch to be an opportunity for our advisors to grow, but also a chance for people who are considering this industry or Thoroughbred Advisors to see what building a career here can actually look like.

The development. The relationships. The community. The experiences. And the opportunity to build a career around work that matters to you.

A great two days with a great group of people. Thank you to Phil, Stephanie, Conor, our partners, and everyone who made Summer Stretch 2026 one to remember.

πŸ‡ Sometimes the biggest financial wins come down to the smallest details.

In horse racing, a photo finish can separate first place from second by just inches. The same idea applies to your financial journey.

A slightly lower interest rate. One extra retirement contribution. Cutting back on a small daily expense. Reviewing your financial plan one more time.

On their own, these decisions may seem insignificant, but over months and years, they can add up to meaningful progress.

Building wealth isn't always about making giant leaps. More often, it's about making small, intentional choices consistently.

So, ask yourself: What's the next inch you can gain today?

🐎 Ready to get in the winner's circle?

Winning with your money isn't about luck, it's about the habits you build every day.

Just like a champion racehorse doesn't win without consistent training and preparation, strong financial habits can put you in a position to reach your goals.

πŸ‡ Here are five habits that can help you stay ahead:
βœ”οΈ Pay yourself first
βœ”οΈ Know your numbers
βœ”οΈ Invest consistently
βœ”οΈ Protect your progress
βœ”οΈ Review your financial plan regularly

Small, consistent actions often have the biggest impact over time.

Back-to-school shopping doesn't have to mean back-to-school budget stress. πŸŽ’βœοΈ

A little planning before you shop can make a big difference. Instead of rushing to grab everything at the last minute, start with a plan:

βœ”οΈ Make a list before you shop
βœ”οΈ Set a budget and stick to it
βœ”οΈ Take advantage of August sales and rewards programs
βœ”οΈ Shop early for the best selection and prices

The goal isn't just to save money, it's to spend intentionally.

A little planning today can help your budget go further tomorrow.
