Claim to Fame Entertainment LLC and VDO Gaming & Esports Education are proud to be part of Troy’s World Cup celebration through the Kick It In Troy community viewing parties.
The Downtown Troy Business Improvement District was awarded $70,000 through the New York State Community World Cup Grant Program, part of Governor Kathy Hochul’s statewide effort through Empire State Development to support free public World Cup viewing events and community activations across New York State. The Troy event is also supported with matching funds from the Rensselaer County Industrial Development Agency.
As part of this community celebration, Claim to Fame Entertainment and VDO Gaming will be providing an interactive FC26 gaming activation at the Italian Community Center. This activation will give families, students, soccer fans, and community members a chance to play, compete, and connect through gaming during the World Cup viewing experience.
Our activation will include FC26 gaming stations, casual play, mini competition opportunities, and youth engagement around esports, technology, digital media, and career pathways in gaming.
This is more than just a watch party. It is a chance to bring the Capital Region together around the world’s biggest sporting event while showing how soccer, gaming, technology, and community can create opportunities for the next generation.
We are proud to support this effort alongside Troy, the Downtown Troy BID, the Italian Community Center, Rensselaer County, Empire State Development, and Governor Hochul’s statewide World Cup initiative.
