Happy 100th Birthday, Aunt Etienna Gauthier or Granmoun Chak
A Woman Who Built a Family with Love/
Happy 100th Birthday, Aunt Etienna Gauthier
A Message from Every Generation That Loves Her
Today, we raise our voices to honor a woman who not only lived 100 years, but lived them with dignity, love, faith, and devotion.
Today, we celebrate not just a birthday, but a century of life, love, wisdom, and generosity. You are an extraordinary woman who brings light, strength, and inspiration to everyone lucky enough to know you.
100 years is no small feat that’s 36,500 days of spreading kindness, sharing smiles, and inspiring generations. You are a strong tree that provides shade and fruit for the entire family.
Today, we celebrate not just an anniversary, but a living legacy. You are a woman who built a family on the foundation of love, respect, and solidarity. Though you had only one child and five grandchildren, your home became a haven for everyone. All your siblings and their children found a place to live, grow, and feel loved.
You were never angry. You never treated anyone poorly. You always welcomed everyone with an open heart, a warm smile, and kind words. You are a woman who chose love every day, who brought peace where there was conflict, and who always sought the good in others. Even those in the family who didn’t live with you still came to eat and brought food home , because you were a mother to the whole family.

An Example of Hard Work, Sacrifice, and Determination
Etienna Gauthier is not just a name — it’s the name of a valiant woman. You used to wake up early, buy cassava, bananas, mangoes, oranges, and everything you could find in Lakil and surrounding areas, and transport them in big trucks to sell in Port-au-Prince.
You poured your life into this work. You did it so people in Port-au-Prince could enjoy delicious food from the north to nourish their families. You did it to support your own family and to put food on the table for everyone at home. This work required courage, strength, and patience. But you never complained. You did it with pride, with love, and with purpose. You showed us that work does not take away dignity — on the contrary, it gives value. Thanks to you, we learned what it means to work for what we have and to share what we have with others.
We Are Deeply Grateful to You, Aunt Etienna
Aunt Etienna, today we want to say thank you. Thank you for all your sacrifices. Thank you for your love. Thank you for being a role model. You contributed so much to who we are today. You are our roots, our light, our example. We deeply regret not being able to celebrate with you in person, but our hearts, thoughts, and love are with you. We hope you have an extraordinary day, filled with all our love, gratitude, and pride. You love life, you love everyone, you love God, and you remain faithful to God every day. That’s why you are not just our aunt, but a woman God placed on this earth to bless us. May this day be filled with joy, songs, and boundless love. May God continue to bless you with health, peace, and beautiful moments with your loved ones. You deserve all the honor and respect for everything you represent.
