Field trip fun! 💙☀️

Last week, some of our bigger kiddos enjoyed a trip to the pool, and one of our littles got to tag along too! Beyond having fun, this was an opportunity to work on an incredibly important life skill..water safety and swimming.

Many individuals with autism are naturally drawn to water, which makes water safety education especially important. Teaching our children how to safely navigate and respect water can be life-changing and even lifesaving.

We are so proud of our learners for stepping outside their comfort zones, trying new things, building confidence, and making memories along the way. Every experience is an opportunity to learn, grow, and gain independence. 🏊‍♀️💙

Almost a year ago, I created something from my heart…

“Big feelings, tiny tools.” 💛

A song for the kids who feel everything so deeply
The ones who get overwhelmed
The ones who just need someone to understand them

Because behind every meltdown is a feeling that’s too big for their little bodies to hold

And they deserve tools… not punishment
Support… not shame

I still use this every day with my babies at Wonderfully Wired 🧠✨
Teaching them how to breathe, regulate, and feel safe in their own minds

❄️ TODAY AT WONDERFULLY WIRED ❄️

We made SNOW today… and it turned into one of those moments you just have to pause and take in 💙

It wasn’t about the activity.
It was about the kids.

Watching them dig their hands in…
feeling new textures…
laughing… exploring… connecting…

Some needed the sensory input.
Some needed the movement.
Some just needed the freedom to make a mess without being told “stop.”

And today, they got that 🫶🏽

Moments like this matter more than people realize.
This is where growth happens.
This is where confidence builds.
This is where kids learn they are SAFE to be exactly who they are.

Every child in that room experienced something different today…
and that’s the beauty of it.

At Wonderfully Wired Institute for Learning, we don’t expect children to fit into a box.
We create space for them to learn, grow, and thrive in the way that works for them.

Messy hands.
Happy hearts.
Real, meaningful moments.

Okay… be honest 👀

How many of y’all would actually come to an ADULT PROM?! 💃🕺✨

We’re thinking:
Dressing up
Music + dancing
Good food
Cute photo setups
And a night out… for a REALLY good cause ❤️

All proceeds would go toward:
Sensory items for our kiddos
Playground equipment
And even helping some families with tuition

This could be something really special for our community 🥹

It’s hard to put into words what it feels like to watch a child grow the way Bellah has.
The strength, the trust, the breakthroughs… every step has meant something.
I am so proud of you, sweet girl.

Bellah was working hard for her Donut Palace donuts this morning 🍩

When I asked her what she wanted, she gave me a full sentence
“I want donuts.”

Moments like this are everything. Communication, confidence, and using her voice.

And to top it off, she did her happy dance for me at the end when I asked 💃

These are the wins we celebrate. The little moments that are actually BIG milestones 🤍

For everyone asking, we are still in our old building. We are hoping to open our new school in June or July! Fingers crossed!

Kids are NOT supposed to sit still all day.

They’re supposed to:
✔️ move
✔️ explore
✔️ be loud sometimes
✔️ use their imagination

Childhood isn’t meant to be quiet… it’s meant to be lived 💗
