On behalf of The Headrick Companies, our hearts are heavy due to the pure evil that was acted out in Utah two days ago. Our prayers go up for Charlie Kirk’s widow, his children, his family, all those who loved and supported him, and the many whose lives have been forever changed by this horrific event. May you find peace in knowing that for Charlie “to be absent from the body, [is] to be present with the LORD” (2 Cor. 5:8) and may the hope you have in Jesus shine brightly in the days ahead, giving occasion for testimony to all those who will be watching. What the enemy meant for evil will most certainly be used for good and God will get much glory from it! Charlie’s death will not be in vain. We pray that the many seeds he planted will come to a harvest that will last for generations.
For the shooter, we pray that he repents and seeks forgiveness for the pointless, hate-filled violence he carried out against such an individual. For the shooter’s family, we pray that you too will find peace amid this horrible time in your lives—peace that passes all understanding, peace that only comes from Jesus. For our nation, that we would all learn to love our neighbor as ourselves and respect one another (by first being respectable), regardless of our beliefs and opinions.
Lord, please forgive us and don’t give up on us… we know what to do, please help us to do it:
“if My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:14
