🚨 Position Title: Site Lead / Equipment Operator 🚨
Pay Scale: $150 - $300 Per Day (DOE)
Location: Upstate South Carolina
Hours: 40 - 50 Hours Per Week
Employment Type: Full Time/Part Time 1099-NEC
⚠️ Job Summary:
The Project Site Leader and Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for overseeing daily project operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and operating heavy equipment to facilitate construction and excavation activities. This dual role combines leadership, project management, and technical skills to ensure the successful completion of projects on time and within budget.
⚠️ Key Responsibilities:
✅ Leadership and Project Management:
• Lead daily on-site operations and coordinate with crew members to ensure efficient workflow.
• Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and timelines to meet project milestones.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders regarding project progress and issues.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and training sessions to promote a culture of safety on the job site.
• Monitor project budgets and resource allocation, reporting any deviations to management.
• Maintain accurate records of hours worked, equipment usage, and materials on site.
✅ Heavy Equipment Operation:
• Operate various types of heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders and skid steers, to complete project tasks such as excavation, grading, and site preparation.
• Conduct pre-operational checks and regular maintenance on equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Safely transport equipment to and from job sites as needed, adhering to all transportation regulations. (NON-CDL)
• Assist in training and mentoring new operators and site crew members on equipment operation and safety protocols.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the equipment, and work trucks including checking fluid levels, replacing filters, and ensuring safety equipment is operational.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and conducting pre-operation inspections.
✅ Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent; relevant trade certifications or an associate degree in construction management or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience operating a skid loader or other heavy machinery (minimum [3] years preferred).
• Proven leadership skills and experience managing teams in a construction environment.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.
• Ability to perform physical tasks that require strength, stamina, and coordination.
• Basic mechanical aptitude for conducting equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
✅ Preferred Skills:
• Knowledge of land clearing, grading techniques, and soil erosion control methods.
• Minimum [2] years of experience in construction project management.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting commercial and residential project plans, specifications, and blueprints to complete work accurately.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to coordinate tasks and ensure safe operations on the job site.
• Have a great attitude and work ethic
• Must conduct yourself professionally and understand how to communicate with Clients, Subcontractors, and Project Managers.
• Must know how to sequence work on a job site.
• A plus if familiar with Trimble GPS.
• A plus if you know how to run storm drain.
• Must know how to grade for curb, sidewalk, asphalt, concrete.
• Understand soil compaction and how to achieve getting compaction.
• Familiarity with project management software and tools.
• Must have experience in transporting equipment with gooseneck trailers and traditional bumper pull type trailers.
• Must have ability to backup a trailer.
✅ Working Conditions:
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. (rain, extreme high and cold exposure, invasive insect and plant exposure).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as necessary as required by project timelines.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor and operate equipment safely.

🚨 Position Title: General Grading Laborer and Landscaping Technician 🚨
Pay Scale: $80 - $145 Per Day (DOE)
Location: Upstate South Carolina
Hours: 40 - 50 Hours Per Week
Employment Type: Full Time/Part Time 1099-NEC
⚠️ Job Summary:
The General Grading Laborer and Landscaping Technician will assist in grading and site preparation activities while also contributing to various landscaping tasks. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment. The individual will work under the direction of a project supervisor to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
⚠️ Key Responsibilities:
✅ Grading and Site Preparation Duties:
• Assist in the preparation of construction sites through the grading and excavation of soil, leveling ground, and clearing debris.
• Operate hand tools and small machinery, including compactors, saws, and mixers, under supervision.
• Help load/unload and secure small equipment and construction materials to and from project site including laser transit, various types of hand tools , lumber, and stone.
• Help set up and remove temporary structures, such as forms and fencing as directed.
• Help load/unload and secure equipment to and from project site.
• Support the installation of drainage systems and other related site work.
✅ Landscaping Duties:
• Assist in planting flowers, shrubs, trees, and other vegetation according to landscaping designs.
• Perform construction tasks such as building  retaining walls, paver patios / walkways, and sod installation.
• Help to install and maintain irrigation systems, ensuring efficient use of water resources.
• Participate in the application of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides according to safety guidelines and project specifications.
✅ Qualifications:
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred; prior experience in grading or landscaping is a plus.
• [1] Year of previous experience in general labor, landscaping, or construction roles.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Reliable transportation to and from work.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and physical environments.
• Strong physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs]).
• Basic knowledge of plants, trees, and landscaping materials.

• Strong understanding of safety practices and regulations related to heavy equipment operation.

• Report any equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or other issues to the supervisor promptly.
