Great presentation at DCC this morning from Zak Bolick with Foust Fleet Services ! 🚗

Zak shared more about himself, his business, and gave us some great insight into how open-ended fleet leasing works and the benefits it can offer businesses. It’s always great learning more about what our fellow DCC members do and how they help other businesses succeed!

Thank you, Zak, for an informative presentation! 👏

What a great night at The Rustick Golf & Fare ! ⛳️🎉

Our DCC social was a HIT! Everyone had such a great time, and we absolutely loved the atmosphere. It was the perfect place to get everyone together, have some fun, and enjoy a little friendly competition!

🏆 Congratulations to our tournament winners:
• Brad Scraper with Assurance Roofing
• Our guest/sub, Austin Bork with Ace Cleaning

Thank you to everyone who came out and made the night such a success — and a huge thank you to The Rustick for having us! We’ll definitely have to do this one again. 🙌

This morning, DCC member Nez Iskandrani with Pure Maintenance of Kansas presented at 1 Million Cups Lawrence alongside Pete Johnson, Manager/Project Manager! 👏☕️

They shared practical insight on what to do when water damage happens, the importance of preventative maintenance, and why proper mold remediation goes beyond removing what you can see.

A big takeaway: remediation means addressing both the affected materials and the air throughout the space—because some of the biggest concerns are the things we can’t see.

We love seeing our DCC members out in the community sharing their expertise, educating others, and helping local businesses and homeowners protect their properties. Great job, Nez and Pete! 💪🏠

We had a great morning at DCC with Chris Miller from the KU Small Business Development Center (SBDC)!

Chris shared some valuable insight on the importance of communication, networking, and showing up for your business—especially through platforms like podcasts, YouTube, and social media.

A great reminder that building relationships and consistently sharing what you do can make a huge impact on growing your business and your network.

Thank you, Chris, for taking the time to speak with us and share your knowledge! 👏

This semester, Douglas County Connections was proud to present a $1,000 donation to Kansas Big Brothers Big Sisters serving Douglas County Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, made possible by the generosity of our incredible DCC members.

A special thank you to Kristy Miller for joining us to represent Big Brothers Big Sisters and for sharing the impact this organization has on the youth in our community.

We’re grateful to every DCC member who contributed to this donation. Together, we’re helping create brighter futures, one mentorship at a time. 💚
