A huge thank you to Swing365 Lawrence and Aladdin Cafe for helping make our Douglas County Connections social a great event!

Swing 365 was an incredible host, providing a fun and welcoming environment where many of us got to work on our golf swings, learn a few new skills, and enjoy some friendly competition.

And thank you to Aladdin Café for providing the delicious hummus and refreshments. As always, the food was a hit and helped bring everyone together.

We truly appreciate local businesses that support community connections and networking. Thank you both for helping make the evening a success!

DCC Social this Friday! ⛳️⚾️

We’re getting together for a golf simulator / KU baseball social this Friday and would love to see a great turnout. These events are always a great chance to connect outside of work, meet new people, support local relationships, and just have a good time with the community.

Feel free to bring guests, coworkers, friends, or anyone interested in networking with an awesome group of local professionals and community members.

If you plan on coming, shoot us a message on FB so I can get a rough headcount!

Looking forward to seeing everyone this week!

Another great example of what makes Lawrence such a special community. Thank you to everyone who came out to support Nesreen Iskandrani ribbon cutting for Pure Maintenance of Kansas . It meant a lot seeing so many familiar faces and local leaders there to celebrate this milestone.

Pictured here are Jace from SpyderArt Constructors LLC, Krys O’Brien from the Lawrence Chamber of Commerce, Dennis Spratt with Wealth Management of KC, Jaime Webb with Sylvan Learning, Ed Shearer with Critter Control of Kaw Valley, Tom Wells with Wells Virtual Bookkeeping, and Brian Edie with Edie Insurance Group

DCC continues to be about more than just networking — it’s about showing up for one another, supporting local businesses, and building real relationships within our community.

Another great DCC meeting this morning. We had the opportunity to hear from Kristy Miller with Big Brothers Big Sisters and listen to some truly impactful success stories about the difference mentorship and community support can make in a child’s life. It was a great reminder that sometimes the smallest investment of time, guidance, and encouragement can completely change someone’s future. Grateful to have organizations like this making such a positive impact in our community. Big Brothers Big Sisters of America

Big shoutout to our fellow DCC member Jaimie on graduating from Leadership Lawrence!

Not only did he complete an incredible program focused on developing leaders in our community, but he was also recognized by his peers and voted onto the Leadership Lawrence Advisory Board — a huge accomplishment and testament to the impact he’s made throughout the program.

We love seeing DCC members continue to grow, lead, and give back to the Lawrence community. Congratulations Jaimie, well deserved! 👏
