Laurie Family Maple Farms Laurie Family Maple Farms is a family owned and operated business, established in 2015. We began sugaring in 2013 with only 3,000 taps.

We have since expanded to become a 24,000 tap operation located near the Adirondack Region of Northern New York. We began sugaring in 2013 as a small hobby operation of 3000 taps. Over the years our passion has continued to grow, which in turn, expanded to what is now a 24,000 tap operation, beautifully located in the Adirondack Region of Northern New York.

Evaporator is running and sap tanks are filling fast! We’re working on boiling our 50,000 gallons of already processed sap AND have about 30,000 gallons of raw sap currently waiting to be processed through our Reverse Osmosis system! Not to mention the sap’s still running steady.🍁

If you’ve driven or stopped by our operation since the Fall, you may have noticed our sugarhouse grew by quite a few square feet.

We added on to our existing sugarhouse in order to house two new, 13,000 gallon tanks, for raw sap storage. We also gained space for empty barrel and syrup storage as well.

We wanted to give a shout-out to the Town of Lawrence Highway Department for fixing Savage Road after the quick thaw did a number on it. We have 7,000 taps down that road and are so appreciative for the town fixing the road so quickly and allowing us to collect our sap without issue.

The sap from all 24,000 taps is pouring in at about 3,000 gallons per hour! The freeze last night to recharge the trees, paired with today’s sun and rising temperatures, created a perfect day to make some syrup!

Just getting started with today’s boil. We use an oil fired evaporator which can begin making syrup pretty quickly. We start drawing off,(when the syrup is finished being boiled), after only about 10 to 15 minutes!
