The 2026 Seasonal Weight Restrictions will be LIFTED at 6am, MONDAY, MARCH 23, 2026 for Van Buren County Road Systems.
From our Permit Officer, AJ Brucks:
Frost is out of the ground around Van Buren Co. and things are drying out nicely. Please beware that gravel roads are STILL very wet, road grading will be starting, but if larger vehicles can avoid them for the next couple of weeks it is advised.
Forecast shows more rain next week, as things continue to dry out, we also encourage vehicles over 10,000lbs to travel at a lower speed of 35 MPH through the end of March on non-All-Season roads. Although this is not a set law, it is encouraged and greatly appreciated that continued efforts are made to help keep our roads in better shape and safer for the traveling public.
