Mayhew Environmental Training Associates META is an Environmental and Safety training industry leader based in Lawrence, Kansas, training the META is a LOCAL company. META is a NATIONAL organization.

Our headquarters is in the middle of the country in a college town with deep roots in the city and college culture and community. We have a local staff of about 12 people who administer our work across the country and around the world. META draws on the expertise of its staff and a broader network of environmental scientists, certified industrial hygienists, seasoned environmental trainers, academ

ics, and many other experts around the country to deliver training, environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and related services in every state in the union. We’re certified to train in more states (and countries) in more disciplines than any other training provider. Taking a single training course with us can qualify you to work in several states without additional training. META delivers services INTERNATIONALLY through key client and provider relationships around the world. We’re the premiere Spanish language course developer and provider in the U.S.. We travel around the world to present environmental training courses and deliver environmental consulting and industrial hygiene services . . . so far including England, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Guam, Japan, and islands throughout the Caribbean

As one of the original training entities certified by the EPA under AHERA asbestos requirements, META has developed and conducted Asbestos Worker, Supervisor, Contractor, Inspector, Management Planner, and Project Design training courses as well as OSHA Hazardous Waste Operations 40-, 24- and 8-hour training, Accredited Lead-Based Paint Removal, and a Seminars on the Environmental Assessment Process, OSHA Asbestos Regulations for Industry, and other subjects. META has provided professional services worldwide, both in training and technical services, to over 2,500 clients, including environmental contractors, architecture and engineering firms, the Federal Reserve, Veterans Administration, U.S. Army, U.S. Air Force, General Services Administration, many public and private schools, colleges, public and privately owned buildings, commercial properties, hospitals and others. META’s trainers are experienced and knowledgeable. Most of our staff has trained with us at least 5 years, and several have been trainers 10 to 25 years. Most of the staff has 4 year college degrees in technical areas or education. META maintains training centers in Lawrence, KS; Nashville, TN, Tampa, FL; Jacksonville, FL; St. Louis, MO; Honolulu, HI; Omaha, NE; St. Paul, MN; Seoul, South Korea, and El Paso, TX. We teach about 60% of our classes in these training centers and 40% at remote locations. While we are not immune to the issues facing a mobile training program, we have the years of experience it takes to anticipate and deal with them. META regularly trains in some 25 states and overseas.
