Hello beloved,
Today at work, I had a very frustrating conversation with a coworker. It reminded me how quickly people can assume things that simply aren’t true.
I was angry at first, but eventually I calmed down and told myself: not everyone deserves my time, energy, or peace.
And it reminded me of one thing I appreciate about building my own business.
At work, you don’t get to choose who you work with. You meet different personalities, attitudes, and communication styles, and you have to remain professional.
But in your own business, you have more freedom to decide who you work with, who you allow into your space, and where you put your energy.
That kind of freedom means a lot to me.
