Earth Day 2026 encourages us all to embrace the changes we can make as individuals and communities regardless of policies and ideologies. Together we can pursue local solutions and renewable resources. It is communities and individuals who have the power to create lasting environmental change.

At Slingshot we switched to a dispersed work model over 10 years ago. The impact of allowing our team members to work from anywhere has decreased commute times significantly- if you’ve been in Atlanta traffic lately you know! By switching to our remote schedule we save roughly ~286.6 metric tons of CO2e a year. It has also allowed a huge quality of life benefit for our team members which has in-turn given way to hobbies such as gardening, biking and educational opportunities with the time they would have been stuck in traffic dedicated to other pursuits.

We encourage everyone this Earth Day to find a small way you can make a difference and share it with your community! Every small action counts, Earth Day isn’t just once a year if we choose to live our lives with our community benefit in mind.
