An unforgettable evening of music, creativity, community… and a little history. ✨🎶🇺🇸

For the second year in a row, Mrs. G & Cafe Appliances was proud to host the Princeton Symphony Orchestra fundraising dinner in our showroom—and what a night it was.

This year’s theme featured tables inspired by Founding Fathers and historic figures with musical connections, and guests fully embraced the fun—proudly becoming Team Jefferson, Team Franklin, Team Washington… you get the idea. ❤️

The food was fabulous, the energy was joyful, and one of the evening’s absolute highlights was the incredible Mary Knapp, who entertained guests throughout the evening with her beautiful voice and accordion playing. At moments, it felt like we had been transported to a charming Paris café listening to Edith Piaf. 🇫🇷✨

Supporting the arts is something we care deeply about. Music has a unique way of bringing people together, lifting spirits, and creating connection—and that’s exactly what this evening did.

Grateful to support the Princeton Symphony Orchestra and all they bring to our community. 🎻

What a night. 🥃✨

After hours at Mrs. G, we hosted our first private spirits experience for builders, designers, and industry partners—and the response was incredible.

Warren Bobrow brought American craft whiskey to life through storytelling, tasting, and a few unforgettable surprises (including the tiniest tasting cups that made everyone smile).

Chef Mary Beth elevated the evening with beautifully paired hors d’oeuvres, making it feel less like a tasting… and more like a true entertaining experience.

One of our favorite moments? Ending the night with Manhattans—which brought back sweet memories of Debbie’s father, who loved them… and of her patiently waiting as a little girl for the cherry. 🍒

The conversations around entertaining at home, thoughtful design, and even the importance of perfect ice made the evening even more memorable.

This was just the first in our three-part series.

Celebrating Women’s History Month

At Mrs. G Appliances, we’re especially proud to celebrate our founder, Beatrice “Mrs. G” Greenberg — an entrepreneurial pioneer who began building her business in the 1930s and created a legacy that continues to this day.

But Mrs. G was not alone.

She was part of an extraordinary generation of women in Trenton who were breaking barriers in business, civil rights, the arts, and public service. We like to call them the Trenton Trailblazers.

Alongside Beatrice Greenberg were remarkable leaders including:

• Mary G. Roebling – the first woman to lead a major U.S. bank
• Helen Boehm – the “Princess of Porcelain,” whose artistry became internationally celebrated
• Edith M. Savage Jennings – a civil rights leader who worked closely with Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
• Anne E. Thompson – the first woman and first African American federal judge in New Jersey
• Meta A. Griffith – longtime business leader and the first woman president of the Mercer County Chamber of Commerce

These women knew one another, respected one another, and each helped shape the Trenton and Mercer County community.

Today, we’re proud to continue the legacy Mrs. G began — inspired by the same spirit of leadership, community, and service that defined this remarkable generation of women.

Over 200 members of the in one room… and you could feel it — this was more than networking.

The soccer theme made it even better ⚽ So many showed up in their favorite team jerseys and T-shirts. Playful. Energetic. Connected.

Yes, business conversations were happening.
But more importantly — connection was happening.
