Texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson today announced her plans to depart the agency effective Friday, July 17.

“It has been an honor to serve the people of Texas in this role,” Secretary Nelson said. “My time as Secretary came at an important moment for Texas, and I am proud of what we have been able to accomplish as an agency in under four years.”

We will be undergoing a routine TXDMV Motor Vehicle Audit on Tuesday, June 2.

At this time, we do not have a confirmed audit time. However, we may need to temporarily close for approximately 1 hour while TXDMV auditors access our computer systems to complete their review.

The tax office will be closing for lunch next week, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (June 8-10), from 11am-11:30am. We will resume being open during the lunch hour on Thursday, June 11th.
