Wendelin Vines

Wendelin Vines In 1872 Wendelin Hund started his vineyard. Six generations later we are continuing his legacy.

On a small farm in Salt Creek Valley, Kansas Wendelin would see it grow to over 60 acres, producing more than 30,000 gallons of wine annually.

We’re excited to finally begin sharing a little more about what’s ahead for Wendelin Vines. 🍷

Right now, our wines are available through our online shop, and later this summer we plan to begin offering limited private tastings by appointment at the farm.

Our vision has always been to create something small, relaxed, and personal — a place where guests can slow down, enjoy the countryside, and experience our wines in an intimate setting.

As a first-year winery, we’re intentionally starting small with two handcrafted wines: a still white (Frontenac Gris) and a sparkling wine (Seyval Blanc).

Over the next few months we’ll be continuing work on the tasting space, adding finishing touches, and sharing more behind-the-scenes updates as we prepare to welcome guests.

Thank you to everyone for supporting us from the very beginning. We truly can’t wait to share this journey with you!

I cant begin to share how incredible this post was to write…

When we came up with the name for our vineyard we knew two things – we wanted it to be cool, and we wanted to honor Jessica's ancestors, whom we knew to be winemakers in KS.

What started as a cool name began to spark our curiosity…

When we came up with the name for our vineyard we knew two things – we wanted it to be cool, and we wanted to honor Jessica ancestors, whom we knew to be winemakers in KS. I chose the name ‘Wendelin Vines’ because it did both. As a ‘marketing guy’ it sounded cool and it also honored Jess...
