Part of what you’re paying for with us, if it’s 2 days before Christmas and your wreath has come down due to the storm over the weekend, we’ll be there to put it back up before the fat man flies. We fixed bulbs out or loose today, repaired some blown fuses, and changed a couple bows out. Advantage with Griswold, we got your back till the last party popper pops for Jesus’s birthday party. We got you. ☺️

Introducing our brand new lights expert judge to the 2025 judging team: Joe Shearer!
Joe started his professional Christmas light decorating in 2015 at the Grand Ole Opry. Here he learned the tricks of the trade and further developed an eye for detail. He is the owner of Griswold Illumination, a division of Shady Landscaping LLC. This was created in 2020. They do commercial and many residential holiday display installations. He resides in Lebanon TN with his wife and 2 sons, Noah and Elias. His claim to fame at home is the Christmas light mullet. Warm white elegant lighting and decor in the front, and multicolored lights and inflatables out back for the boys to play with.

We’re absolutely nuts about holiday decorating! We could almost crack! 😄 Sometimes it’s assumed we use expensive brands of materials to make these things look like they do. Moment of truth, these are Home Depot trees and hobby lobby decor. I have to give credit to our decorator, Tammy, she makes it shine like no other. Her eye fo detail with the right ribbon, bows and bulbs makes a Home Depot tree look like the finest Balsam Hill. Very grateful for all of our helping hands. Couldn’t do it without them.

Aren’t all Christmas light companies the same though? They do the same things right? Not us. Every so often we’ll go drive around in the evenings to check on the houses that we’ve done. This is one I texted the homeowner the next day and said I think something‘s wrong with your timer because half of your lights aren’t on. He was completely unaware. Came out and fixed the problem he didn’t even know he had. We take a great deal of pride in our work. If your house is going to look Griswold at all, we can’t have bulbs out for half of the house lit and the other half not (as much as that seems fitting to match the movie theme.) All jokes aside, we want your house to always shine merry and bright through the entire season.

Went to visit family for the holiday. Knew they had multicolored mini lights the past few years. Took them an upgrade.
