One of the hardest posts we've ever had to make.
Ray passed away on Tuesday evening.
Ray has been a generous supporter, a faithful friend to PAWS and the husband of one of our most dedicated and experienced volunteers, Betty.
We are broken over this significant loss to our community. Not only over the loss of such a great human but also knowing Betty has lost the love of her life until they meet again.
Over the years Ray sponsored so many PAWS events. He graciously donated merchandise from his store, Rays Vacuum. He was involed in more PAWS events then we can name and probably more than he wanted to be. He toted so many boxes, cat carriers, humane traps, yard sale donations, etc. He pitched in whenever we needed it.
One of the things we admire the most is that Ray lived his life to the fullest. His faith, love of travel, food, beer and family & friends.
He was always the hit of the PAWS Halloween Ball. Rays costumes never disappointed.
Did you know...
Superman has pajamas with Ray's picture on them.
If Ray had visited the dark side of the moon, it wouldn't be dark.
He once taught a cat to wait until 8am for breakfast. And he definitely taught old dogs, new tricks.
Ray will forever be known as PAWS Most Interesting Man in the World.
Ray's memory will always be a blessing. He is forever embroidered into the fabric of our lives.
We will hold Betty tight and surround her with love and comfort.
Thank you for all the love and support you have shown us the past two weeks knowing we were praying for one of our own.
Please celebrate Ray's life and hold up Betty in love, light and prayers. ❤️

PAWS work is never done and we'll continue forging ahead; the next few weeks may move a little slower for us as we work through this loss and process our grief.
