Before signing a contract with any door-to-door pest control company, do your homework.

Many of the "exclusive" treatments the salesmen trick you into believing, such as applying dusts behind your brick facade, are standard industry practices that local pest control companies have been performing for years. Local companies actually have more specialized licenses and experience to treat more pest issues around your property than these pop-up companies.

Read reviews. Check how long they've been in business. Ask your neighbors. Make an informed decision.

Support local businesses. They're the ones supporting your community long after the sales crews with crazy talking points have moved on and the untrained "technicians" have taken over.

And remember...local companies aren't going to just blow dust up your weepholes.

With more people ordering from Amazon and other shipping companies, we’re seeing a big increase in pests hitching rides inside cardboard boxes.

Roaches, spiders, ants, silverfish, and other small insects are attracted to cardboard because it provides:
✔ Warmth
✔ Shelter
✔ Moisture retention
✔ A perfect place to hide and lay eggs

A few tips to help prevent problems:
• Unpack boxes outside or in the garage when possible
• Break down and remove cardboard quickly
• Don’t let boxes pile up indoors
• Inspect packages before bringing them inside

Many “sudden roach problems” actually start with cardboard storage...not dirty homes.
