🏆 The inaugural Bond Optics Picnic Playoffs are officially in the books!

We kicked off what we hope will become an annual Bond Optics tradition. Four teams were drafted weeks in advance, giving everyone plenty of time to prepare, strategize, and, of course, talk a little trash. 😏

On picnic day, the competition was on. Five games put each team to the test, from yard pong and eating competitions to a hot wing challenge and a paint-filled water balloon fight. Add some great catered BBQ, amazing prizes, and a whole lot of friendly competition, and you have one heck of an afternoon.

After all was said and done, the A-Team (Black) took home the win and became the first ever Picnic Playoffs champions! 🖤🏆

A huge thank you to everyone who participated and helped make the first year such a success. We’re already looking forward to seeing what next year brings.

Year one is in the books. The rivalry has officially begun.

Before an optic can be polished, coated, or inspected, it must start with the right foundation.

Machining is where the initial geometry of an optical component takes shape. Careful control at this stage helps establish the dimensions and form needed for the processes that follow.

It's one of the first steps in turning raw material into a finished optic, and every step that comes after builds on the work done here.

The finished optic starts with the details you don't always see.

Last Friday, some of our QC team had the opportunity to attend a precision optics cleaning workshop at Keene State College.

Hosted by Keene State College and produced by Optics for the Greater Good in collaboration with APOMA, Bell Collaborative, and Ecoclean North America, the workshop brought together professionals across optics, precision cleaning, and manufacturing.

Our team spent the day focused on a critical area of performance: cleanliness and contamination control in precision optics. From surface quality and coatings to particle and film contamination, the session reinforced how tightly optical performance is tied to process discipline.

Opportunities like this are a valuable way for our team to stay aligned with evolving standards and best practices across the industry.

We appreciate the opportunity to learn alongside others in the field and continue strengthening the processes behind the optics we deliver every day.
