Everyone come up for some baseball in Leeds tonight!! The Fire department is running concessions! Don’t worry we had a couple small issues, but we are so back!! The fire chiefs grill privileges have been revoked!

🚨 TORNADO WARNING 🚨

The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Warning for our area. Radar has detected rotation southwest of Maddock moving northeast toward Leeds.

TAKE SHELTER NOW!

• Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest floor.
• Stay away from windows.
• Continue to monitor weather alerts and local media.

⚠️ Remember: The Leeds warning siren is currently out of service. Please use weather apps, NOAA Weather Radio, and Wireless Emergency Alerts to receive warnings.

Stay safe and be prepared to act quickly if conditions worsen

⚠️ SEVERE WEATHER NOTICE ⚠️

With the possibility of severe weather tonight, residents are reminded that the Leeds outdoor warning siren is currently not operational.

Please do not rely on the siren for warnings. Be sure to have other ways to receive weather alerts, including:
📱 Wireless Emergency Alerts on your phone
📻 NOAA Weather Radio
📺 Local TV and radio stations
🌐 Weather apps and trusted online sources

Stay weather aware and have a plan in place should warnings be issued. We hope to have the siren back in service as soon as possible and appreciate your understanding.

🚨 UPDATE 🚨

Our siren in Leeds is currently not working. We are actively working to identify the problem and find a solution as quickly as possible.

At this time, the siren will not be available for fire calls or tornado warnings. Please make sure you have other ways to receive emergency alerts, such as weather radios, smartphone notifications, or local media alerts.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while we work to resolve this issue. We will provide updates as more information becomes available.

Due to the severe weather we’ve experienced in the area and the potential for additional storms, we will be testing our outdoor warning siren today at noon. This is only a test. There is no emergency.

Please do not be alarmed if you hear the siren during the test.

We have been issued a red flag warning with these high winds, and also Benson County is in a burn ban. Burning can result in a $1,500 fine and Class B Misdemeanor!
