Our long-time HR Manager, Shawna Biggars, SPHR, SCP shares why she believes in supporting this important workplace initiative.
"After 30+ years working in HR/Payroll, I am blessed to say that even on my worst day, I still love what I do. That doesn’t mean I don’t get stressed or overwhelmed, but it is a good reminder that our mental health is just as important as our physical health.
"In October of 2022, the U.S. Surgeon General released a statement indicating 76% of U.S. workers in a 2021 survey reported suffering at least one symptom of a mental health condition, and as a result, 81% reported they want workplaces that support mental health.
"Companies that recognize this need can become an employer of choice by engaging strategies such as encouraging employees to use their paid time off, cultivating a welcoming work environment, and providing robust Employee Assistance Programs. I’m grateful LSI Staffing does all those things and more."
