Dale Richter, owner & operator, began working with honey bees at the age of 5 with his grandfather, Ellis P. He attended the University of GA, working in the Entomology
Department and helping to develop the beekeeping program at the University. He has continued to stay involved with UGA concerning honey bee related issues and is a member of the Georgia Beekeeping Association, having served as a Board Member. Dale Richter is a licensed Pest Control Operator, licensed Wildlife Control Operator, and Master Beekeeper. In October of 2011, Dale Richter became the first beekeeper to encounter Africanized Honey Bees in Georgia after being called in by Emergency Response officials to assist in an emergency in which Africanized Honey Bees had fatally attacked an elderly man on his property. The Buzz Fuzz continues to work diligently with local, State, and Federal officials in preparation and response to stinging insect matters. The Buzz Fuzz also eliminates all types of wasps, hornets, yellow jackets and other types of stinging insects throughout Georgia.
