A learning experience with this table for my kitchen. Never have done one. Three year old air dried white oak lumber I milled with my second sawmill I owned. I planned the lumber down. Gerald Blume constructed the top with ripping all the edges, doweling/glueing up & did a great job. Solid, heavy & tough as nails. I sanded the top, installed the legs & put on the finish. The lumber did once inside acclimate to the indoor humidity & move around. Didn’t ruin the top, but did create some slight imperfections. Should’ve kiln dried the wood in my kiln, but honestly just wanted to see what’d happen with the lumber being just air dried what would happen, & have the experience to tell others. If built for a customer, the lumber would be kiln dried first.
