🚒🔥 WELCOME TO THE LELAND FIRE DEPARTMENT! 🔥🚒

Please join us in welcoming Nolan Kinney and Jack Short as the first members of our NEW LFD Cadet Program!

We are excited to launch this program, giving young individuals the opportunity to learn about the fire service, gain hands-on experience, develop leadership skills, and discover the importance of serving their community.

Our goal is simple: Build the next generation of firefighters and community leaders!

👏 Nolan and Jack, welcome to the LFD family! We look forward to watching you learn, grow, and become part of our department’s future!

🚒 A FRESH NEW LOOK FOR THE LELAND FIRE DEPARTMENT! 🚒

Neighbors Serving Neighbors — and taking pride in our community!

If you’ve driven past the Leland Fire Department recently, you’ve probably noticed some changes! We’ve been hard at work updating our exterior lighting and giving our fire station a fresh new coat of paint!

The best part? This entire project was completed with ZERO taxpayer dollars! 💪

We couldn’t have accomplished this without the generosity of some incredible businesses and the dedication of our volunteer members.

👏 A HUGE THANK YOU TO:

🎨 Sherwin-Williams – For generously donating paint and supplies.

🎨 Mike Butler National Decorators – For their generous contribution of paint and supplies.

🚒 Our Leland Fire Department Members – Who volunteered their time, energy, and hard work to complete these improvements.

🌟 A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO MATT PFLIEGER! Matt went above and beyond, dedicating an incredible amount of his personal time and effort to this project. His hard work, commitment, and pride in our department truly deserve special recognition!

Projects like this are a great reminder of what can happen when local businesses and volunteers come together for the betterment of their community.

We take pride not only in serving and protecting our neighbors, but also in maintaining a fire station our community can be proud of.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen!

LFD is Training to Better Serve Our Community!

Last night, Leland Fire Department Firefighters and EMTs worked through hands-on auto extrication training focused on the skills needed during a serious motor vehicle crash.

Training included scene size-up, safe apparatus placement, vehicle stabilization, EMS patient care, communication, Incident Command, and basic extrication techniques.

We finished the night with a simulated two-vehicle MVC, establishing Command and operating with four working companies to practice teamwork and communication under realistic conditions.

Our members continue to put in the time to sharpen their skills so we’re ready when our neighbors need us most.

A special thank you to Gibson Towing for hauling away our training vehicles and supporting our department. Community partnerships like this help make valuable hands-on training possible.
