3 of my favorite tips for organizing a custom pantry!
A beautiful pantry is great, but the real goal is making it functional for your everyday life. Here are three things I love incorporating into my pantry designs:
1. Give bread + chips a designated home.
I love using a wire basket pullout for bread, chips and other bulky items that always seem to be falling all over the shelves. Everything stays contained, but it’s still easy to see and grab.
2. Create a kid-friendly snack station.
A box pullout placed a little lower is perfect for kiddos! Fill it with containers of their favorite snacks so they can easily grab what they want and go, without digging through the entire pantry.
3. Always have a backstock basket.
Keep extras of your most-used snacks and pantry staples in a designated backstock area. When something runs low, you can shop your own pantry first instead of immediately running to the grocery store. It saves time, reduces food waste and can save you money, too!
Custom organization isn’t just about making a space look pretty. It’s about designing a system around the way your family actually lives.
