We’re proud to help make an impact right here in our community.

Through Westfield Insurance’s Legacy of Caring program, we recently had the opportunity to present a $7,000 grant to Bethesda Mission in support of the incredible work they do throughout our region.

This grant will help Bethesda Mission continue providing shelter, recovery programs, compassionate care and hope to men, women and children in our community!

☀️ With temperatures soaring this week, it's important to know the warning signs of heat-related illness.

Extreme heat can affect anyone, whether you're working outside, exercising, attending summer events, or simply spending more time in the sun.

Remember:

💧 Drink water before you feel thirsty.
🌳 Take frequent breaks in the shade or air conditioning.
🧢 Wear lightweight clothing.
👀 Check on coworkers, neighbors, older adults, and anyone spending extended time outdoors.

A little preparation can go a long way in preventing a serious emergency. Stay safe, stay cool, and take care of one another this week.

Today, we're celebrating two incredible members of the Gunn-Mowery family as they begin their next chapter. Congratulations on your retirement, Kathy McDonald and Neel Horst! Thank you both for your dedication, expertise, and the impact you've made over the years. 💙

After 15 years of serving our clients in Personal Lines, Kathy's kindness, knowledge, and commitment have left a lasting impression on everyone she's worked with. Even after retiring once and moving to Colorado, Gunn-Mowery was never too far from her heart as she returned just a few months later to continue supporting our team part-time. We wish her many happy days spent reading, gardening, painting, traveling, and making memories with her family.

Since joining Gunn-Mowery in 2013, Neel has helped countless businesses create safer workplaces through his decades of experience in risk management and safety. His leadership, passion for education, and dedication to protecting others have made a lasting impact on both our clients and our team. We wish him endless days on the water, quality time with Sue Ann, Jenny, and Matt, and every adventure retirement has to offer.

Congratulations, Kathy and Neel! Thank you for everything you've given to Gunn-Mowery. We wish you both nothing but happiness in this exciting new chapter.
