One thing I didn’t think about at first about owning a little store in a small town…

is realizing that people usually aren’t coming in because they actually “need” something.

Someone will walk in saying they’re “just looking”…

then spend 25 minutes wandering around smelling candles, feeling soft tops, trying on purses, chatting about what I’ve made, circling through the jewelry, then saying “I better do one more loop around” before checking out.

And honestly?

I don’t even think it’s really about the products half the time.

I think people just want to feel something for a minute.

Inspired.

Comfortable.

Calm.

Like they never left home.

Like life isn’t ONLY errands and stress and bad news and rushing around all the time.

That’s why I’ve always cared so much about how the store feels. So that you want to bring pieces of it home with you as a reminder. ✨

The feeling of slowing down for a second.

And honestly, that’s one of the coolest parts of all of this. 🤍
