Spending this Memorial Day weekend with profound reflection, gratitude and saddness as it marks the first Memorial Day without my Dad.

My dad, Dennis Grammont, proudly served his country as a Sergeant for the U.S. Marines in the Vietnam War. He was recognized with a National Defense Service Medal, two Vietnam Service Medals, and several commendations.

He made the ultimate sacrifice for our country on July 1, 2025, when illness resulting from the effects of agent orange during his service took him from us.

Beyond his uniform, my dad taught me the true meaning of discipline and integrity.

I remember with gratitude my dad, my father-in-law Domenic Howe, and all the fallen heroes who gave everything for our freedom.

Thank you for your continued legacy, Dad. I miss you and I love you. ❤️

Engaging with the communities where we live and work is essential. 🎨

💚 When I opened the second location of empHowered PR a few years ago, my goal was not only to grow my business but also create a positive impact in the community.

🖼️ Over the years, I’ve been drawn to the Worcester Art Museum. It’s a place where I spent considerable time when I previously worked in the city and still find solace surrounded by great works of world-class art, a welcoming staff and a quiet environment to think, brainstorm and reflect in the many galleries.

🤝 I recently took my support to the arts one step further by supporting WAM as a Corporate Business Partner, allowing me to contribute meaningfully and foster connections.

⭐️ I was honored to attend the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce11th Annual Woostapreneurs Forum and participate as a panelist for a discussion about the resources a budding entrepreneur should have when setting up the path toward business ownership.

🗣️ Joined by Darnell J. Dunn as moderator extraordinaire, and fellow panelists Joshua LaPan John S. Pothier and Angela Maher, we all shared our areas of expertise and how we can help entrepreneurs find growth, capital, guidance on contracts and strong messaging that resonates across all audiences.

Celebrating entrepreneurship in North Central! ✨🎉

🙂 From trading pins to meeting new friends and seeing old friends, the Worcester Economic Club dinner was a great night!

🎨🎭🌸 Presentations from leadership at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill, Worcester Art Museum and The Hanover Theatre and Conservatory for the Performing Arts shed light on how Worcester is fast becoming a place for young and old to enjoy world-class art, culture and theatre right in the Heart of New England.

🍪 Many thanks to Bo Luong for the invite, Echo Louissaint Collins for the pin and inspirational stories, to Briana Azier of Bri’s Sweet Treats, Worcester for the delicious chocolate covered oreos, and mad props to Bay State Bank’s Seth Pitts for the thoughtful remarks and sharing one of the best corporate videos my entire table agreed was one the best we’ve ever seen!

🪟Entrepreneurship has opened opportunities and doors I never thought imaginable!

🔎 Over the course of the past few years, I’ve worked on a community-based research project related to understanding cytomegalovirus (CMV) transmission in early education and care settings led by Principal Investigator Laura Gibson.

📚This study afforded the opportunity to work with researchers, the Institutional Review Board, epidemiologists, lab technicians, funders, community-based researchers and many others who all worked toward establishing a research network through community engagement, digital study platforms, laboratory methods, and (of course!) a robust communications plan — and I even had the honor of moderating a community advisory council!

🖊️ With this work, I am proud to be an author of “Connecting research and community: a methodological framework for investigating CMV transmission in childcare settings,” a study published in Frontiers.

🍳 The 2026 North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce Economic Forecast Breakfast is in the books!

💚 Presented by the North Central Massachusetts Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by friends at Fidelity Bank MA, the event provided an overview from experts on where the economy has been, where it may be going and what to be prepared for in the months ahead.

📊 Hot topics included tariffs, jobs and workforce development, the top sectors leading the charge (looking at you, AI!), and how North Central Massachusetts is doing compared to the Commonwealth and the U.S. (we’re holding our own, especially in manufacturing and life sciences).

🥰 The event also brought together members of the amazing empHowered PR team and the opportunity to connect with lots of friends!
