Is The Pettiest Officer an asset of the U.S. Coast Guard?
This is a scary question to ask since it has great implications. Let's see how we got here. For starters, we have received information that almost all Sexual Assault Response Coordinators (SARCs) on the east coast and two in U.S. Coast Guard Southwest (formerly District 11) are working with TPO in some way, shape, or form. Why go to TPO when SARCs are already available to all active-duty members, including civilians? The answer is you don't. Should you find yourself in need of a SARC, you have access to that individual at any moment. If it seems intimidating to go alone, you are allowed a friend to es**rt you and be present to help you get the care you need and deserve.
A SARC is a full-time, Coast Guard civilian employee who is trained to ensure appropriate care is coordinated and provided to victims of sexual assault. In addition, a SARC tracks the services provided to a victim of sexual assault from the initial report through final disposition and resolution.
Based in our reports from survivors, The Pettiest Officer is untrained, unhinged substance abuser who has broken policy several times while serving, has allegedly consumed drugs while in active service, has given underaged victims alcohol, and overall has no idea how to communicate to survivors of sexual assault (see our previous posts for validation). Additionally, he has gained access to bases in a similar fashion to insider threats; hanging on to expired military IDs and having multiple military IDs are the two instances were reported to us. Additionally, there is an active case against Brett for harassment. This probably comes as no surprise to most of you. What is surprising is that it is coupled with a Weapons Surrender Order (which, from our interpretation of court records, he has not yet fulfilled).
All this information leads us back to the main question. How can someone that is so unbalanced, untrained, dangerous, narcissistic, and threatening be allowed to remain in contact with so many SARCs that apparently work with him? We have also found out there are alleged CGIS agents confirming information or working with The Pettiest Officer. Sounds like those agents are working well outside their scope of required duties. This all leads us to believe that The Pettiest Officer is some sort of necessary evil whose actions are sanctioned in some way shape or form. And if that is the case, it makes perfect sense why nothing ever happened after a unit's plan of the week was shared outlining ship and crew movements.
It's time for action to be taken. The U.S. Coast Guard has sat on its hands long enough. We are calling for the entire LLC of The Pettiest Officer to be held accountable; we are calling for all members of TPO to be barred from entering any USCG installation; and we are calling for all SARCs and CGIS agents to cease and desist from contacting TPO immediately. Maybe then, we can finally start protecting our members.
Without enthusiasm,
The Dirty Mug
