I was blessed this morning with a good one. A lot of prayers and sweat went into getting him on the ground. Chased him hard with a bow earlier in the season and it seemed like he had my schedule down to a T. He would show up and hangout all day whenever I wasn’t there. His favorite time to be out and about was when the wind wasn’t in my favor. I’ve made mistakes the past few years that has costed me a good deer or two, hunting a not so good wind was one of them. He disappeared late October and I was fairly sure he had moved on. Fast forward to November 23rd and he showed up again. Back to his old tricks he would daylight in front of my stand while I was at work. Earlier this week he dipped out again. I was thinking he’d either moved on or made someone else’s day as such has happen the past few years but the one and only pattern this guy has held is mid morning movement in either fog or rain. I figured if he’s still around this morning would be the time to find him. Yesterday I sat all day and seen every single deer I have on camera besides this guy, including one buck that would probably score more but is a year younger. Then this morning it was all quiet until he rolled through. All I can say is Praise God. He’s not a monster by any means but I’ve had this guy on camera for 3 years. Was told I needed to clean him out because “BaD GeNetiCs” the first year. Basket racks can grow! Give them a few years.

Box on the ol boat ain’t been that full in a while, put two 5s back that we’re hooked deep. Had a hell of a Independence Day 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Bitter sweet moment tonight, regular season is over and we’re off to the tournament and Allstars. Shoutout to for leaving and myself in charge for two shutout games😂 stay gone more often bro. That being said, we had very little role in the two shutouts. That was all and along with a outstanding defense. Alex pitched 5 no hit innings last night before the MR and tonight Lucas went 6 shutout innings. Bryson Marley came in and slammed the door. These three pitch wise beyond their years and are a blast to watch.
Defense and pitching wins ball games but a good offense makes the defense stronger. We had 3 with a On Base Percentage of between .645-.667 Those 3 being Lucas Smith, , and Braylen Tedder, and 6 batters total with a OBP over .500 which is outstanding with the amount of talent on the mound in Chatham Pony Baseball League. you have been a blessing getting this going in Chatham County. I think we’re all very thankful and excited to represent. Huge thank you to Devon Atkinson for keeping books the majority of the games for us. You have been a blessing as well. With All-Stars around the corner it’s time to hammer down💪🏼 it’s been a summer to remember already and we’re just getting started.
