For 250 years, America has been a beacon of freedom, opportunity, and hope. For the last 109 of those years, Lions have proudly answered the call to serve our neighbors, strengthen our communities, and make a difference where it matters most.

Here in Tennessee, that spirit of service continues to ring loud. From Memphis to Nashville, Chattanooga to Knoxville, and every town in between, Lions are Serving in Harmony to meet the needs of our communities.

As we celebrate this historic milestone, let’s also celebrate the volunteers who help make America stronger every single day.

Here’s to 250 years of freedom, and to many more years of serving together.

District 12-I Lions is in great hands with DG Thom Smelser! I love his theme for the year!

Last year, under the leadership of District Governor Lion Evan Jones, District 12-I united around the theme "Sound of Service." Together, Lions across our district made that sound impossible to ignore through countless service projects, community outreach efforts, and lives impacted along the way.

As we begin a new Lions year, we shift gears and look ahead with excitement as District Governor Thom Smelser takes the wheel with his 2026-2027 theme: "Racing to Serve."

The sound of service doesn't stop as it becomes the engine that drives us forward. As Lions, we will continue accelerating our efforts, strengthening our clubs, and reaching more people than ever before.

Congratulations to District Governor Thom Smelser as we start this new journey together!

The race is on, District 12-I! Let's get moving and continue making a difference in our communities!
