🔧 ANOTHER EXAMPLE OF WHY PROPER DIAGNOSTICS ARE A MUST!!
This 2017 GMC Savana came to us after another shop charged the customer over $1,200 in parts and labor, only for it to STILL not be fixed. They were eventually told to take it to the dealership.
Luckily, they gave T&M AUTO a shot first!
It came in as a no-crank/no-start after already having the fuel pump and module replaced. Instead of throwing more parts at it, we dug into the diagnostics and found a corroded wire at the fuel pump module connector. BOOM—problem solved… or so we thought!
It started and ran, but was intermittently losing communication with multiple modules, causing the gauges to stop working and the van to lose power going down the road.
After some more diagnosing, we traced that issue back to the ignition switch. Sure enough, manipulating the switch caused module communication to cut in and out.
Two problems found, properly diagnosed, properly repaired, and the van is back to work! 💪
Best part? The customer spent roughly a third of what they already paid elsewhere to actually get it fixed.
🎯 Moral of the story: Stop throwing parts at problems. Proper diagnostics save time AND money.
At T&M AUTO, we diagnose the problem and fix it right. 🔧
