We’re still trying to figure out if Romeo was casting votes, because we’re surprised to see that we finished in the top three.

It’s not that we don’t believe in our work, but we never asked anybody to vote.

It really means a lot that someone would take the time out of their day to do something like that, and we just wanted to say thanks.

Thanks too the people that believe in us, that support us, and recognize what we’re trying to do.

We’re gonna keep doing our best, day in and day out. Huge shout out to Autumn for being a big part of this. We would be nothing without her.

Thank you!

🐜 Why We Ask You NOT to Spray Ants Yourself During Our Treatment 🐜
We know it’s tempting — you see ants, you grab a can of Raid, problem solved. Right? Not quite. Here’s what’s actually happening behind the scenes when we treat your home, and why that can of spray can undo everything.
When it comes to ANT control, there are primarily two types of products:

NON-REPELLENT products (what we use for ants)
These are invisible to ants. They walk right through the treated areas without knowing it, pick up the product on their bodies, and carry it back to the colony — sharing it with thousands of other ants and potentially the queen. No queen = no colony = problem solved at the source.

REPELLENT products (most store-bought sprays)
Ants can smell or sense these and will simply avoid the treated area or they will die on contact - killing only the foragers and sometime causing the ants to split the colony as a survival mechanism. You might see fewer ants in one spot, but the colony is alive and well — and often splits or relocates, making the problem worse.

After your initial service — don’t panic if you still see ants!
This is actually a GOOD sign. It means the ants are still active, still moving through the treated areas, and still carrying product back to the colony. That process takes a little time, and that’s exactly what we want. Give it a chance to work its way through the nest before drawing any conclusions.

Here’s the problem when both are used at the same time:
If you spray a store-bought repellent product while our non-repellent treatment is active, you create a barrier that stops ants from ever reaching our bait and product. They can’t carry it back to the colony. The whole process gets shut down before it has a chance to work.

That’s why we like to come back if you have issues, and provide a warranty with our service. That gives us control over what product is being used, and means that we’re not wrestling with some unknown product that has been applied.

Thank you!

In this video, I discuss my feelings on the “discounts” that are common in the industry🔥

This next chapter is for the underdogs 🤝

When I started in pest control, I almost quit.

I got hired as a door-to-door salesman… and I was the worst in the office.
Two weeks in, not a single sale.

I called my boss and told him I was done.

He convinced me to finish the day.

I knocked two more doors… and sold both.

That didn’t magically make me great.
For the next five years, I was average at best.

But here’s the part that matters—

I was the first one to bet on myself and walk away.

No safety net. No guarantees.
Just a decision to build something of my own.

I ended up in Lewiston, Idaho—somewhere I was never supposed to be.

Then came the turning point: a bed bug–infested motel that nobody else could solve.

That’s when it clicked—
we weren’t just here to do pest control.

We were here to build something bigger.

That’s how Supernova was born🔥🔥🔥

🚨 URGENT UPDATE 🚨

We regret to inform you that the owner of Supernova Pest Control has not slept in 72 hours.

He keeps whispering:
“Check the seams… check the seams…”

He has inspected:
✔️ 14 mattresses
✔️ 6 couches
✔️ A neighbor’s backpack (they didn’t ask)

At this time, he is NOT a danger to the public…

…but he is a danger to any bed bug within a 50-mile radius.

Happy April Fools.

(But seriously… check your seams)

We’re having precision signs get some new wraps on our trucks!

It’s not a competition, of course, but gee whiz… hard to beat that😆 these are just mock ups, but really excited to see the final result!

Our new website is almost done as well… we might be biased, but it’s better than most companies that are worth millions of dollars including some of the top 10 pest control companies in the entire nation🔥

Wall Street could never build something with this kind of heart. We’re here to win, and we’re here to redefine what pest control looks like.

-Supernova out.

Here’s a few helpful tips if you suspect you have bedbugs and want to start with a DIY approach:

🔎First, confirm what you are dealing with are bedbugs. Bedbug monitors and interceptor traps are great ways to catch the bugs if you are getting bitten but cannot find the bugs. Supernova offers free inspections and sells monitors.

🔥Next, take items that can safely be ran through the dryer and run them on high heat for a minimum of 30-45 minutes. Make sure it is safe, and that your dryer can handle it. After ran though the dryer, isolate clothing from areas that you sleep, in vacuum sealed bags. The heat from the dryer should eliminate any bed bugs or eggs in the clothing. The majority of bedbugs are found within 6 to 8 feet of sleeping area so start your focus on this area.

🚬Heat is an effective way to kill bed bugs on contact, and a steamer is a cost effective way to eliminate bed bugs. Every steamer is different, so it is important to research how hot the steamer gets. From there, you can determine how fast to move with the steamer. It is important to use caution while using a steamer. Focus on mattress and couch seams, and any tight areas. The headboard and mattress frame are also important areas to treat.

🚮 This part is completely optional, but heavily infested items can be considered for proper disposal.

✅Bedbug encasements are designed to seal the mattress and prevent bedbugs from traveling in or out. But because bedbugs can go one full year without eating or drinking, you’re gonna want to make sure that you don’t have any holes in it😂

Vacuuming daily is also recommended. However, it is important to clean out the filter areas to prevent reinfestation.

🤝Supernova is exploring the idea of offering financing for bedbug jobs. It would cost us $1800 a year to partner with a company that offers financing, so it’s a big decision. Supernova is also looking to partner with local caregiving facilities to implement strategies to reduce the spread of bedbugs.

🚫There are tons of products that say that they are rated for bedbugs, but that we have not seen work for people. We have seen bug bombs drive bedbugs further into harborage, and from our experience seem to be ineffective. The experience of eliminating the structural infestation at the Travel Inn required a lot of trial and error to find the perfect set of products (that we still have not failed with). There is a lot that goes into properly and safely applying pesticides, so we recommend leaving this part to a professional.

If you have any questions or concerns about bedbugs, please give us a call and we will do our best to provide as much help as possible!

(This guide is provided for general educational purposes only. Results may vary depending on the severity of the infestation and conditions within the home. Improper use of products or methods may be ineffective or cause unintended damage. Supernova Pest Control is not responsible for outcomes or damages resulting from do-it-yourself treatments. For full elimination and guaranteed results, professional service is recommended.)
