Space Heater Safety Tips:

Keep heaters 3 ft from combustible items (bedding, papers, etc)

Make sure the heater is on a firm, flat surface to reduce the risk of tipping

Never plug heaters into an extension cord or power strip (they draw too much power)

Check the wall plug occasionally for heat or discoloration that could be a sign of an electrical short or fire

Be wary of heaters near small children or pets as they can be burned or tip over the unit easily
