Huge shoutout to Walk This Way Media Official for partnering with us to help the community! We are truly honored to help those in need. Although we appreciate the recognition, it isn't something we seek. We take faith and comfort in the Lord's promise to repay us for our sacrificial acts of kindness.
In Luke 6:35 Jesus commands us to "Love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High; for He Himself is kind to ungrateful and evil men."
Yet again, in Matthew 6:1-4 our Lord says, "Be careful not to practice your righteousness in front of others to be seen by them. If you do, you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. So when you give to the needy, do not announce it with trumpets, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and on the streets, to be honored by others. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward in full. But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." We encourage you to do the same.
We understand that this post is somewhat hypocritical in nature but wanted to take a minute to reflect on what authentic giving looks like after seeing this post we were tagged in. It is a Joy to be able to give to those in need (without receiving any recognition or self-seeking motivation).
Keep giving. Keep loving. Keep sacrificing. Do it all in silence. God is always watching, and he is faithful.
