FIrst and MOST Importantly, no one was injured today during the fire at our facility and everyone is safe.
On behalf of everyone here at Joe Krentzman & Son, we wanted to thank the local firefighting community for their prompt response to our fire today, and for their incredible teamwork with our crew as we worked together to very quickly bring a fire under complete control before it had a chance to get worse. Everything was fully extinguished and under control within around an hour of our call to 911 – a testament to the professional crews and their incredible equipment. We are lucky to have you men and women in our community, and we appreciate your efforts today.

Happy Spring Everyone!

Just a quick reminder:
If you are looking to scrap old fuel tanks or propane tanks, we MUST be able to ensure that ALL tanks are empty and free of flammable liquids and/or gasses.
For us to accept any closed container, we must be able to visually see inside fuel tanks. Please make sure there is a basketball size hole cut into the tank.
For all tanks under pressure such as propane tanks, torch tanks and fire extinguishers, the valves MUST be removed completely from the tank. This allows for any residual gases to escape and ensure that the tank is no longer under pressure.
Please help us by remembering these safeguards while recycling. The safety of our customers and staff is very important.

Our large scale is currently out of service for a bit due to a visit from Keystone Scale for routine maintenance. We should be up and running in a little later this morning.
Our Metals room scale is still open for your non ferrous scrap.
